We stayed at the Hotel Dorsett, and overall it was a pretty positive experience, with a few small things to note. The best parts: The room is very spacious, and the bathroom is super large, with both a bathtub and a shower. The bed is comfortable – though a little firm, and you can feel movement when the other person moves. The curtains, lights, and USB chargers are a great, convenient touch. Breakfast is good, especially for Asian tastes – Western options are limited, but what they have is tasty. The location is fantastic: the metro is just 50 meters away, right at the doorstep. The area is nice and recommended. There was some construction nearby, but it didn't bother us at all. Could be improved: The only real negative point is the elevator – it takes quite a while. Bottom line: Highly recommended for the space, cleanliness, and location. If you don't mind waiting a bit for the elevator or a slightly firm bed, everything else more than makes up for it.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service provided throughout my visit. A special thank you goes to Ms. Mia at the reception desk. She was warm, professional, and exceptionally welcoming. Her friendly attitude, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made the check-out process smooth and enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my stay. The hotel's facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall hospitality exceeded my expectations. Staff members were courteous and helpful, creating a pleasant and relaxing experience. Thank you, Ms. Mia, for your outstanding hospitality and dedication to guest satisfaction. Your excellent customer service truly made a positive difference, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Excellent facility and service. The hotel is located in a good position for the exploring by walk the most active zone of city center. The room was very wide, with good furniture and all the amenities you could think about. The staff was kind and helped in arranging a delivery of medicines for my wife.

I came to Chengdu with my classmate this time. Since we're not yet adults, I was a bit worried about checking in, but it turns out I was completely overthinking it. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and patient. Instead of being dismissive because of our age, they were very considerate of our feelings throughout, and it felt really good to be treated with such respect. The city view from the room was absolutely stunning, with a super wide vista. Looking out the window at night, the city's splendor was laid out before us. Every picture we took was like a professional shot, and we spent ages taking photos by the window. Of course, as a well-established five-star hotel that's been open for some years, some of the facilities do feel a little dated compared to those trendy new hotels that just opened. However, this didn't affect the overall stay at all. The bedding was very comfortable, and the hygiene was excellent. The minor flaws don't detract from the overall quality. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I truly felt the expected standards and warmth of the Ritz-Carlton. Thank you to all the Ritz-Carlton staff! (。・ω・。)つ🌷

The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get anywhere; a taxi ride usually costs around ten yuan. The service was also very satisfying; the butler service was attentive, and any requests were promptly addressed. Before arriving, I was a bit worried the hotel facilities might be outdated, but after checking in, I realized my worries were unfounded – everything is well-maintained, and the room is very spacious. The hotel breakfast also offers a rich variety, including all the Chengdu specialty snacks, though there were quite a few kids due to the summer holiday. Next time I visit Chengdu, I'll definitely prioritize staying at The St. Regis again!

Yulin Life Plaza and Tongzilin commercial area Chengdu|4.31km from city center
This was my first stay at a Kempinski hotel. Upon entering the lobby, it felt a bit dim and cramped. The room had an industrial grey theme, likely due to a recent renovation, and the quality of the refurbishment was excellent. After one night, I grew to love the hotel's extra-large, slightly firm bed. The breakfast restaurant exuded an old-school luxury vibe, and the food quality was highly commendable. I also tried the pool in the morning and was even more impressed – perfect for both kids and adults (three small, one large pool). The water quality, temperature, and changing rooms were all perfect. The pool attendant and the doorman were exceptionally professional. Many thanks to them!

Chunxi Road Commercial Area Chengdu|1.11km from city center
This hotel boasts excellent transport links, situated between Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street and the metro station. It's surrounded by both established eateries and trendy new spots, and a stroll to Taikoo Li is just downstairs. The front desk is on the 15th floor of Guangqun Tower. After checking in, you take the guest elevator to your room. If you're staying on the Club Floor, check-in is on the 35th floor, where you can enjoy refreshments throughout the day. There's also a fitness bar and Hotpot No. 8, making it easy to experience Chengdu's culinary delights right downstairs. The front desk staff were incredibly polite and gracious, doing their best to accommodate all requests. The check-in process was smooth, and they clearly explained all the services – very professional. The room itself isn't huge. The electric curtains open automatically, and while the room furnishings show a bit of age, everything is well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The air conditioning also works effectively. The bedding has a good bounce, and the pillows are fluffy. Since my high-floor room didn't have windows, there was a slightly stuffy smell when I first entered, especially in summer. The toilet and shower are separate, with sinks on both sides, which is convenient for sharing and doesn't disturb others. The room was very quiet at night, perfect for a peaceful sleep. Breakfast is served on the 15th floor. It can get a bit busy between 8 and 9 AM. The buffet offers a good mix of Chinese and Western dishes, with plenty of local specialties like Long Chao Shou and Dandan noodles for guests to try. Coffee and tea are brought directly to your table, and used plates are cleared promptly. The service is well-organized and efficient.

Chunxi Road Commercial Area Chengdu|1.29km from city center
Incredibly convenient location with lots of shops and restuarants nearby and the metro station right across the street. The staff were all very lovely and polite and the facilities provided were sufficient. The main drawback of our rooms were the strange layout. There was no private bathroom, only cubicles for the toilet and shower and an open sink. The cubicles had frosted glass which I found was a bit awkward and did not provide enough privacy. Additionally the toilet cubicle was directly across the window which made things more uncomfortable. I also found it frustrating that all the settings would reset after leaving the room - ie. on your return the tv would automatically turn on and the curtains would be drawn back. The design was also very dated and looked very old, the fenced windows had white cracking paint and the floors which are depicted to be carpeted in the images are actually just wooden floors. Lastly, I had some concerns with the plugs being a bit flimsy, the cover would pop off which I thought was a bit unsafe.

Chunxi Road Commercial Area Chengdu|2.06km from city center
The hotel’s biggest advantage is its excellent location. It’s within walking distance of Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring Chengdu. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the lighting was quite dim, and there were mirrors everywhere, which gave it a bit of a “love hotel” vibe. Because of the design, I think it’s more suitable for couples than for solo travelers or friends traveling together. Overall, it’s a good choice if location is your top priority, but the room design may not appeal to everyone.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful during check-in and even upgraded my room for free. Any issues I had were quickly addressed and resolved – truly excellent service! My stay at the Shangri-La Chengdu was absolutely perfect. The hotel is located right by the Jinjiang River, and from the floor-to-ceiling windows, I could take in the beautiful Anshun Bridge and the Jinjiang night views. It’s also within walking distance of Taikoo Li, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and clean, with even the standard rooms exceeding 42 square meters. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area with high-quality amenities. The thoughtful turndown service at night and the complimentary local snacks were lovely touches that made the stay extra special. Service was consistently warm and attentive. The front desk staff were efficient and thorough, and all staff members were patient and helpful, responding quickly to any requests. The dining options were extensive; the Sichuan cuisine at 'Shang Palace' was authentic and delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices. The heated swimming pool and the high-altitude executive lounge were excellent facilities, perfect for relaxing in my free time. Overall, the hotel perfectly blends elegant Sichuan charm with high-end comfort. It’s a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, and I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu.

The state was incredible and it was a wonderfully beautiful and relaxing space! It felt so much a part of the neighborhood as well. The service was incredible from the cleaning staff who were kind and attentive as well as available and our receptionist, Cong Li, who was immediately responsive to questions, gave us a quick easy check in and check out, as well as handled our bags with much care. The stay was incredibly relaxing and we would definitely come back here again for the experience. Grateful for such an unforgettable experience and the service, space and neighborhood that made it all easier to just experience a comfortable and easy holiday.

The hotel is about 1 km from Hejiang Pavilion, and only a ten-minute walk from Taikoo Li, Kuanzhai Alley, the Science Museum, and the Art Museum. It's super convenient for dining and shopping, truly a prime central location. Our room was on a higher floor, offering panoramic views of Chengdu. The butler service was especially thoughtful and meticulous, handling issues efficiently and patiently, which is why we decided to extend our stay for another night! When traveling with family, it's crucial to choose a reliable hotel. If you don't get good rest, and the kids get sick, it can ruin the entire trip, so picking the right hotel is really important!

Tianfu Square/Chengdu Museum Chengdu|1.18km from city center
The location is quite good, right by the river. There are plenty of great food options in the alley behind it, making it perfect for a city walk. The materials and furnishings are undeniably top-notch, extremely luxurious, all marble with an 'old money' vibe. You can tell they invested heavily in the hardware at the time. However, in stark contrast to the luxurious hardware, the service was truly abysmal, so much so that I canceled my second night and moved to another hotel. Let me briefly explain: 1. The butler called ahead to confirm my arrival time and room preferences, which was very clear. Yet, upon check-in, there was no record in the system, and the front desk seemed clueless. There was clearly no handover or communication in between. 2. When checking in, I was curious about the hotel's construction, materials, and opening date, but the staff knew absolutely nothing. Seriously, how are they trained? 3. Even more incredible, the sweet potatoes 🍠 and corn 🌽 at breakfast were stone cold! Yes, I took them from the steaming cabinet, and they were cold (this was the direct reason I decided to move). I kindly told a staff member they were cold, and she came over, touched my corn with her hand, and then just walked away… walked away… walked away! Hahaha, I actually laughed! I won't even mention other things. I will definitely not choose this place again! Compared to the Shangri-La and Grand Hyatt I stayed at previously, the difference is just too vast. Although the current economic environment is challenging and hotels face cost pressures and high NOP targets, I hope management sees this and takes it seriously! Wishing them well!

Our stay with the kids exceeded expectations. The hotel's location is super convenient, right in the heart of a shopping district, and getting a taxi is a breeze. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and odor-free, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with stable hot water. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful, offering kids' slippers and snacks without us even asking. The hotel is near Chunxi Road, just a short walk away, which is quite convenient. It's also about a ten-minute walk to the subway station. There was some renovation happening at the hotel entrance, but I didn't really hear any noise. I got a room upgrade when I checked in. There's a laundry room with dryers next to the elevator, which is very handy. Daily housekeeping was also prompt. Spent five days in Chengdu with the kids, staying at Fraser Place. The location is fantastic, right across from Global Center, making it super convenient to get around – quick trips to the city center or the airport. It's great value for money too. The room came with a washing machine and dryer, a microwave, and a fridge. These amenities were a lifesaver with kids; we could easily wash dirty clothes and reheat leftover pizza. Plus, ordering takeout was a breeze, with robots delivering right to our room. The bathtub is huge as well, so after a long day, the little ones could enjoy a relaxing bath. This Home Inn I booked for my trip to Chengdu was easily the best I've ever stayed at; the experience was truly fantastic. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a lovely fragrance, which was incredibly pleasant. The front desk staff were also very warm and attentive during check-in, always greeting guests with a smile. Their service was impeccable – always available but never intrusive. The hotel's overall decor has a distinctly British feel, and both the staff's attire and the interior design were excellent. The environment is quiet despite being in a bustling area; the whole place felt very peaceful. The hotel breakfast was quite good, offering local Chengdu specialties like 'xiaomian' (noodles), 'chaoshou' (wontons), and 'douhua' (tofu pudding). The cleaning staff were also very friendly; the 'auntie' cleaning our room even brought us extra bottles of water when tidying our room during our extended stay. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center near Xinnanmen Metro Station, just a 150m walk away. Having the metro so close made getting around and visiting attractions incredibly easy. Chunxi Road is just one metro stop away, and popular spots like Kuanzhai Alley and Wenshu Monastery are also easily accessible. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including 'chuan'er' (skewer) and hot pot restaurants. Just a short walk down University Road, you'll find even more local snacks. This place is truly excellent, the price is reasonable, and it exceeded all my expectations. It's a fantastic base for exploring Chengdu – highly recommended!
