Overall, the facilities were quite good, and I had a fantastic experience this time! 👍 The room was clean and tidy, which made me feel very comfortable. All the staff were also very warm and friendly, always ready to answer any questions. The location is also very convenient for getting around. The room was specially upgraded, and the service was excellent as requested. Although it's a bit old, the room facilities are well-maintained and very practical. The breakfast was great, offering excellent value for money. The service attitude was truly superb and professional, which is hard to find in Chengdu. The location is good, convenient for getting anywhere. The airport shuttle is nearby, and it's easy to shop and dine. The carpet shows its age, and there's a slight odor in the hallway, but the room was well-ventilated and acceptable. The corridor has a nostalgic 90s feel. Overall, the price is fair. Many foreigners stay here. If you prefer smart, new hotels, this place might not be for you.

Tianfu Square/Chengdu Museum Chengdu|0.64km from city center
This hotel is perfect for families with kids. The two rooms are spacious enough, and the location is excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel's robot delivery service for takeout is also fantastic! Sometimes ordering takeout to the hotel is even cheaper than buying it myself from the store, and the robot delivers it right to your room door, which is great!

Tianfu Square/Chengdu Museum Chengdu|0.84km from city center
Overall, this hotel is really good, and the stay was quite comfortable. The breakfast selection is rich, with both Chinese and Western options, offering plenty of choices to cater to different tastes. The staff are professional and responsive, making guests feel well-cared for. However, I'd like to mention two minor details: the scent in the ground floor lobby is a bit strong; it can be a little pungent when you first walk in, though it gets better on the 25th floor where the main hotel lobby is located. I suggest the hotel could tone it down a bit. Also, room service deliveries aren't allowed to guest rooms, which I assume is for security reasons and is understandable, but it does mean a slight inconvenience for guests. And finally, you can't reach your room directly by one elevator; you need to transfer, which is a bit troublesome when you have luggage. These minor issues don't overshadow the positives, and overall, it's still highly recommendable. One more thing: the internet wasn't very good; it would be great if it could be optimized.

Had a fantastic stay! We were on the 26th floor and the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was really nice! The room was very spacious, and even though it was a twin room, the beds were wide and soft. Great experience. Although the hotel is a bit older, all the facilities are very well maintained. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, including both continental and very local dishes like 'Bo Bo Chicken' and 'Zhong Shui Jiao' (dumplings). The 'Bo Bo Chicken' had good seasoning, and there were many choices for freshly boiled noodles, which also tasted great! I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu! The room cleaning and service were both impeccable, very satisfied!

Yulin Life Plaza and Tongzilin commercial area Chengdu|4.31km from city center
I stayed in an executive twin room on the 19th floor. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Tongzilin subway station, making it easy to get to Yulin and Chunxi Road. The room has been renovated and feels simple yet spacious. The two standard single beds with soft bedding provided ample space for two people. The bathroom features an open-plan shower design, without a bathtub. Booking an executive room grants exclusive access to the executive lounge, with complimentary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. The lounge was quiet with few people, and offered a good selection of light meals and a hot noodle station. The high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views of the city's nightscape in the southern part of town. All soft drinks in the in-room mini-bar were complimentary, and a coffee machine was provided, ensuring all essential amenities were available. Service was prompt, and the elevators operated smoothly. Overall, the location is convenient, and the executive lounge benefits offer great value for money. However, the bathroom setup is quite basic; I wouldn't recommend it for guests looking for a bathtub or high-end toiletries. It's a great choice for business travelers or short trips.

Chunxi Road Commercial Area Chengdu|1.11km from city center
The location is fantastic, right on Chunxi Road, with a shopping mall next door and easy access to the subway and buses. Even though it's above a bustling commercial street, the room was incredibly quiet. I slept in until 8:30 AM on my first day! Check-in is on the 15th floor, but there's a concierge on the ground floor who provides excellent service; they were always prompt in opening car doors and greeting us upon arrival and departure. I highly recommend trying the all-you-can-eat hotpot on the 16th floor; the food is great, and surprisingly, my clothes didn't smell afterwards! Because of the hotel's prime location, the room felt a little cramped overall, especially the bathroom, which was quite small. However, the excellent service made up for it, so it was still an acceptable trade-off.

Hygiene: The room was spotless, and the cleaning staff (Auntie and Sister-in-law) were amazing, I loved it! 🥰 Environment: The hotel's location is fantastic, right at the Chunxi Road subway exit, which is incredibly convenient. There's also an airport shuttle. My whole family loves it. Service: The front desk staff, both the handsome guys and beautiful ladies, provided excellent and very polite service. They were super efficient. We'll definitely be back, we've already stayed 5 times consecutively! Facilities: The hotel restaurant's breakfast is unique, and there's even a terrace where you can see the panda climbing the wall on Chunxi Road.

This is our second stay within a week (after 2 nights at Jiuzhaigou). When we returned, it’s comforting to be greeted warmly by Xiao Zhang at the reception again (he checked us in one our first stay). Although the staff are on shifts and we met different people each day, everyone showed the same level of friendliness and helpfulness. We enjoyed a free upgrade again and loved the room with modern decor, and opportunity to wash our clothes before heading out again. We’re convinced that Sungold is the perfect base to explore Chengdu and other attractions in Sichuan. We’re off to Dujiangyan and Qingchen, and will be back here again for another 2 nights!

Jiuyan Bridge/Sichuan University Area Chengdu|2.5km from city center
Honestly, choosing a hotel in Chengdu is tough. I read reviews for every hotel, and they all seemed to have issues. I was a bit apprehensive when I picked the Shangri-La, especially concerning hygiene and facilities, and even braced myself for the worst. Traveling with my child and parents, I couldn't help but worry a little. But when we arrived, I realized my worries were completely unnecessary! 1. **Facilities are old:** This is unavoidable, as the hotel opened in 2007. Back then, it was definitely top-notch, but it's not 'old' in a negative sense. 2. **Well-maintained:** It's clear the hotel puts effort into maintaining its facilities. 3. **Excellent service:** A big thank you to the front desk staff – they were never impatient, no matter when we approached them. Our family room had a leaking bathroom, and since it was late, we didn't switch rooms that night. The next day, they upgraded us directly to a large family suite! My child was thrilled, and they even waived the breakfast fee for one person. 4. **Presidential visit:** The President of Ecuador also stayed there during our visit, haha! What a coincidence. Security was extra strict those few days; we even had to go through security checks every time we entered or exited the lobby. 5. **Dining:** We ordered room service from the hotel, including dishes from Shang Palace, and the food was truly delicious! Also, the hotel breakfast is absolutely worth it. My father is very particular about breakfast, and the next day he told me the mini steamed buns were excellent! The dan dan noodles and beef wide noodles were also great.

Wenshu Monastery/Longhu Shangcheng Sky Street Chengdu|2km from city center
The hotel is located in Wenshufang, very close to Wenshu Monastery by foot. However, parking is underground, and it's a bit inconvenient that there's no luggage cart to unload bags at the hotel entrance. We stayed in a private courtyard with two rooms, traveling with elderly and children. Having our own courtyard to experience the Chengdu rocking chair life was quite nice. The entire complex is essentially a commercial street. You can grab a bowl of Gaiwan tea, some Tangyou Guozi, or get an ear pick by the roadside – a great way to experience the laid-back Chengdu life. The children's rocking chair in the small courtyard is super cute. Because the courtyard is a general heritage building, the facilities are a bit old. BTW: Breakfast was just average.

Chunxi Road Commercial Area Chengdu|2.67km from city center
To be honest, the hotel facilities are a bit old, but the service is truly heartwarming. This was a family trip, and on our second day out, my daughter complained to me, 'Why did you pick such an old hotel?' I told her it was because the reviews were great and the location was good. After a full day of sightseeing, when we returned to the hotel that evening, my daughter saw all the thoughtful little gestures from the staff and immediately said she wanted to take back what she'd said earlier that day. For example, seeing our wet clothes hanging in the room, the staff added an extra drying rack so we could neatly hang everything. Knowing we had a child, they provided a child's toothbrush, slippers, and even kids' shampoo and body wash. And every day, they'd arrange our dolls in different playful poses on the bed, which was really charming and childlike. So, out of five stars, I'd give it 4.5. The 0.5 deduction is for the hotel facilities; everything else was excellent, and the location is superb.

Business District/The area around the Twin Towers Chengdu|8.34km from city center
The W Hotel Chengdu truly stands out among the many luxury hotels in the city. It's young, stylish, trendy, and full of vibrant energy – luxurious without being 'old money,' high-end yet incredibly chic. Every restaurant has its own unique background music, and every staff member radiates a youthful glow. The breakfast selection is quite rich, featuring handmade Dan Dan noodles and 'chaoshou' (Sichuan wontons), as well as pan-fried buns, all of which are delicious. They offer three different Haagen-Dazs ice cream flavors daily, and the rum raisin and macadamia nut flavors are particularly good. The bread offered at breakfast is also exceptionally tasty, with classics like almond croissants, floss bread, and muffin cupcakes. I want to extend a special thank you to the hotel's management and operations team for their professional, warm, and thoughtful service during my family's stay. This includes Front Office Manager Eaton, Style Director Polly, Assistant Front Office Manager Amber, Duty Manager Covey, Peter, and many other staff members whose names I didn't get to remember. We drove to Chengdu, and since there are traffic restrictions based on license plates, having a parking lot at this hotel was incredibly convenient. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceeded expectations, a quality choice that makes you want to return! I chose Fraser Place Chengdu for this business trip, and the experience was fantastic. Here are a few points I must praise: Thoughtful Breakfast 🥐 The buffet breakfast was not just a perfunctory offering. The homemade yogurt was rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by honey, raisins, and banana chips – refreshing and healthy. The cold milk was also very fresh. In the hot dishes section, there were Sichuan-style stews and authentic spicy ox tongue salad, which was麻辣鲜香 (numbingly spicy, fragrant, and savory). Getting to taste the flavors of Chengdu so early in the morning was very satisfying! First-Class Amenities 🏊 The constant temperature swimming pool on the third floor was absolutely amazing. The water was clear and clean, and when there weren't many people, it felt like having the whole place to yourself. After a swim, I went to the gym for a run, with views of the Global Center visible right outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. The yoga room had solid wood flooring, and with the sunlight streaming in, the whole space felt incredibly healing. I followed a yoga session with the smart mirror, and after a good sweat, all the day's fatigue vanished. Overall Impression The service was attentive, the room was clean, and the location was convenient, not far from Intime and the Global Center. It's suitable for both business trips and family vacations. I will definitely choose this place again next time I come to Chengdu. Highly recommend!

West China Hospital and Sichuan Provincial Stadium commercial area Chengdu|1.89km from city center
This Home Inn I booked for my trip to Chengdu was easily the best I've ever stayed at; the experience was truly fantastic. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a lovely fragrance, which was incredibly pleasant. The front desk staff were also very warm and attentive during check-in, always greeting guests with a smile. Their service was impeccable – always available but never intrusive. The hotel's overall decor has a distinctly British feel, and both the staff's attire and the interior design were excellent. The environment is quiet despite being in a bustling area; the whole place felt very peaceful. The hotel breakfast was quite good, offering local Chengdu specialties like 'xiaomian' (noodles), 'chaoshou' (wontons), and 'douhua' (tofu pudding). The cleaning staff were also very friendly; the 'auntie' cleaning our room even brought us extra bottles of water when tidying our room during our extended stay. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center near Xinnanmen Metro Station, just a 150m walk away. Having the metro so close made getting around and visiting attractions incredibly easy. Chunxi Road is just one metro stop away, and popular spots like Kuanzhai Alley and Wenshu Monastery are also easily accessible. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including 'chuan'er' (skewer) and hot pot restaurants. Just a short walk down University Road, you'll find even more local snacks. This place is truly excellent, the price is reasonable, and it exceeded all my expectations. It's a fantastic base for exploring Chengdu – highly recommended!
