As a husband and a father, I don’t just look for comfort—I look for peace of mind. This hotel delivered both. Service was fast, thoughtful, and genuinely warm. Everything was clean, organized, and effortless, which matters when you’re traveling with family. The environment feels premium yet welcoming, not stiff. My family felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Location is a huge win—surrounded by some of the best food Chengdu has to offer, with easy access everywhere. This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s a place where a family can truly rest. Classy, reliable, and worth every cent.

We returned to stay in this hotel after our trip to Jiuzhaigou. Check in again was smooth. Upgraded to a suite in 14th floor, the room was spacious, clean and beddings comfortable. I called housekeeping for a firm pillow, and immediately a wheat pillow was delivered. We requested a knife to cut fruits, again Leo Li from the restaurant delivered personally to the room. Kudos to Leo, Christina of the front counter, and the housekeeping staff, as well as the helpful concierges. Overall this hotel never disappoints, and is certainly as good as any best 5 star hotel that we have stayed.

I recently stayed at the Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu for a day, and it was the highlight of my trip! The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of the city near Tianfu Square and just a 5-minute walk to the Jinjiang Hotel Metro Station. The room was massive and felt like a luxury apartment, complete with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer, which was a lifesaver for a quick traveler! I spent my morning at the gorgeous indoor pool and grabbed a delicious breakfast at Vinos before heading out. The staff were incredibly attentive and even helped me with local tips. If you’re looking for comfort and convenience in Chengdu, this is the spot! 🐼✨

Tianfu Square/Chengdu Museum Chengdu|0.84km from city center
The hotel is centrally located, making it extremely convenient to get around. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, greeting me at every step of the check-in process. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. What truly set this stay apart was the thoughtful personal touch. Abin from Guest Relations (I believe his Chinese name is Li Kai) left me a handwritten note along with a small gift, which was a very pleasant and meaningful surprise. The housekeeping staff also wrote a kind note for me—unfortunately, I was unable to recognize his name from the note, but the gesture itself was deeply appreciated. These small yet sincere acts made me feel genuinely warm, special, and truly welcomed. This level of care reflects the high standards and heartfelt hospitality that The Ritz-Carlton is known for.

Yulin Life Plaza and Tongzilin commercial area Chengdu|4.31km from city center
The location is great, very close to Tongzilin subway station. Line 1 goes directly to Wenshu Monastery and Chengdu South Station, which is super convenient. The hotel has a constant-temperature swimming pool and a warm-water soaking pool. I went twice and had them almost to myself, which was fantastic for a family of three who love to swim. The room isn't huge, but it's clean and sufficient, and the TV supports screen mirroring, which is very handy. There are two minor points that aren't exactly flaws: 1. The hallway scent in the hotel is a bit too strong. 2. Even with the AC/heater off, the duvet was still too warm; taking it off made it cold, which was a bit awkward.

This InterContinental hotel maintains a high international standard. I had booked it for three consecutive days and was planning to leave, but then my friend decided to visit Chengdu too, so I canceled my tickets and took a taxi back to stay here again. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the amenities were excellent. Upon check-in, we received complimentary fruit and children's toiletries. They have a laundry room, which was incredibly convenient after being on the road for half a month; my clothes were washed and dried in just ten minutes. The breakfast greeters were also very friendly, proactively offering baby utensils and asking if we'd like egg custard. High chairs were available. The variety of food was extensive and delicious. The room was clean and hygienic. There are many restaurants right downstairs, and Chunxi Road is about a one-kilometer walk away, offering a nice stroll with plenty to see along the way.

The environment is clean and tidy, and the in-room phone service was very responsive. They were essentially able to meet all requests within reasonable limits (apologies for calling the front desk so many times, I had a lot going on, haha). They even gave a small gift when I checked out. The transportation nearby is convenient, with plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Chengdu!

I'm not sure if the negative reviews are from competitors trying to badmouth them. This is my third stay here, and after comparing many places, I still prefer this one. The front desk service is excellent; they knew I was traveling alone with two kids and immediately switched us to a room with a view of 'pandas climbing the wall.' The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. They cleaned the room daily and restocked water and drinks. The shower isn't a hot water heater type; there's hot water 24 hours a day. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Chunxi Road is right downstairs, which is very convenient. When I came in winter, the floor heating kept the room warm, not cold at all. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay at Sungold Designer Hotel in Chengdu. The hotel has a modern, stylish design, and the room was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully set up. I appreciated the small details that made the stay feel more relaxing and well cared for. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made check-in and any requests very easy. One of the biggest highlights was the location — it’s conveniently situated near major shopping and dining areas, making it easy to get around and explore the city. Overall, Sungold Designer Hotel offers great value for a comfortable and well-designed stay.

Jiuyan Bridge/Sichuan University Area Chengdu|2.5km from city center
Having been thoroughly impressed by the food and service at the Horizon Club of Shangri-La Hotel on my last visit, I didn't hesitate to choose Shangri-La Chengdu again for this trip. Firstly, a big thank you to Ms. Lu, who was previously the Horizon Club manager and has now been promoted to Front Office Manager. Her warmth and helpfulness in securing a satisfactory room for us, along with complimentary fruit and local Sichuan snacks, and arranging a late check-out, set a wonderful tone for our entire journey. Strategically located near Jiuyan Bridge and the famous Lan Kwai Fong bar street, the hotel boasts a vibrant atmosphere and unbeatable night views. However, it's a bit of a distance from the nearest metro station. The Horizon Club's 'Happy Hour' offerings are incredibly diverse and plentiful, almost like a mini-buffet, with the cakes and desserts being particularly delightful. On the other hand, breakfast was relatively simple with fewer options. My beloved handmade steamed buns weren't as tasty as before, and they felt cold, possibly having sat out for too long, which affected the texture. I'm not sure why the brown sugar glutinous rice cakes (hongtang ciba) were soft throughout, lacking their usual crispy exterior. The Eggs Benedict were inconsistent; on the second morning, the egg was overcooked with no runny yolk, just a solid egg yolk, and the accompanying bread was unappetizing. Furthermore, the egg tarts were cold and not kept under a heat lamp, and the bread station seemed to lack even basic items like muffins, which felt a bit perfunctory. Restaurant management might need some improvement; during breakfast, I noticed a whole stack of plates still had water marks, indicating they hadn't been dried properly. Nevertheless, the service staff at the Horizon Club were excellent – friendly, courteous, quick to clear dishes, attentive to guests' needs, and particularly Ms. Liu Chun, the current Horizon Club manager, who was constantly busy, very dedicated and responsible. I also checked out the coffee shop on the ground floor. While the selection of dishes was indeed more extensive, it was also very crowded and noisy. The staff member who greeted us was still very enthusiastic despite knowing we were just looking around, though some other staff members appeared cold and unresponsive. Room service was excellent – very responsive and quick to fulfill requests. When they learned we needed to air out clothes, they thoughtfully brought a drying rack, which was a very considerate touch! Room maintenance was also good, with an automatic toilet and a Dyson hairdryer. The gym isn't open 24 hours; it closes after 11 PM, and guests cannot access it with their room cards after hours, which felt a bit restrictive for those wanting to work out later. In summary, this stay brought both joy and disappointment. I hope the hotel continues to improve and enhance its services, ensuring its long-term success and continued excellence.

I booked the nearest hotel when I came to Wenshu Monastery to worship Buddha. Before booking, I was a bit worried about the environment and the room after reading some reviews. However, after checking in, I found my worries were unnecessary. Although the room is in an old building, the details inside still show thoughtfulness. The air conditioning was already turned up warm when I entered, the bedding was clean and tidy, and the pillows were high-pressure elastic pillows (this is very important!). The toilet even had disposable seat covers. The room's arrangement made me feel at ease as soon as I walked in. Finding such a peaceful place so close to Wenshu Monastery, I'll definitely be back next time!

The W Chengdu is my top pick when traveling with parents. First off, the location is fantastic, right next to the Twin Towers, which have a light show every night at 7 PM. My parents and I watched it after dinner both nights. Dining and shopping are incredibly convenient nearby; there's Ma Wang Zi Sichuan Cuisine downstairs and Li Shan Shan Bubble Tea across the street. The hotel also has direct access to a shopping mall with a Hema supermarket, making grocery runs super easy without even needing a taxi. As for the stay itself, the hotel's guest relations team was professional, warm, and attentive. The room design is modern and minimalist, with very new facilities. The breakfast spread was also excellent. The W Hotel isn't just for young people anymore; my parents really enjoyed their stay too. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

I booked this hotel for my trip, and the location is fantastic – right in the city center with tons of dining options nearby. There's even a decent hotpot place right by the subway entrance. The staff here are incredibly thoughtful and responsible. As someone new to the area, they were always ready to answer any questions I had, making for a truly wonderful experience. The rooms are spotlessly clean. It was really heartwarming to be greeted so warmly by the cleaning staff in the hallway every time – it genuinely felt like a home away from home. The front desk team was also incredibly thoughtful. They even offer a laundry service, washing and drying clothes if you're too busy sightseeing, and folded everything neatly in a basket – a truly thoughtful touch. There's also complimentary self-service freshly ground coffee in the lobby, and a cup before heading out in the morning is just what you need to feel refreshed.
